Sicilian Football was founded in 2018 by Anthony Barbagallo, a football journalist with the vision to promote football in Sicily. The Sicilian Football brand specifically focuses on football teams in Sicily – reporting on club news, games, and undertaking exclusive interviews with some Sicilian footballers and players from the Italian island.
It’s the first media platform to produce a variety of Sicilian football content in the English language, allowing Sicilians and avid Calcio fans living abroad to stay informed about football on the island of Sicily.

WHAT WE DO
COVER SICILIAN CLUBS
We specifically cover the news and games of professional, semi-professional and amateur Sicilian football teams. This includes a range of teams playing in some of the regional leagues. Sicilian Football is one of the very few platforms to provide coverage of football in Sicily.
GRAPHICALLY ORIENTATED
We have experience in producing social media graphics. This involves creating matchday posters and creating graphics for several footballers. Sicilian Football has designed club jerseys for several professional and amateur clubs. We have also worked on branding, creating logos for new and existing clubs.
DESIGN AND RUN A MERCHANDISE BRAND
Sicilian Football also has its own clothing brand, aiming to provide premium Sicilian Football streetwear to our followers/fans.
THE STORY
At the end of 2018, Anthony Barbagallo came up with the idea to start a Sicilian Football brand. Having a strong passion for Italian football and being proud of his Sicilian heritage were the main drivers in establishing this niche project.
Anthony wanted to offer Italian football fans something different from mainstream football media, which focused on football for a specific Italian region. Due to many Sicilian football fans living abroad in the US, Australia, Canada and the UK, Anthony thought he would create a community where English-speaking Sicilians could keep up to date on football in Sicily. With hardly any football media platforms covering Sicilian football teams in English, this was the perfect opportunity to start Sicilian Football.

Drepanum Calcio 2020-21 home and away kits designed by Sicilian Football. Drepanum Calcio is a newly founded club based in the province of Trapani. This small club plays in Sicily's Terza Categoria - the ninth division of Italian football.
GELA CALCIO
Gela Calcio 2020-21 home and away kits designed by Sicilian Football. Gela Calcio was established in 2019. This is the third football club located in the city of Gela - province of Caltanissetta. Gela Calcio plays in the Seconda Categoria, the eighth division of Italian football.
MARINA DI RAGUSA CALCIO
Marina di Ragusa Calcio 2020-21 Limited edition shirt, designed by Sicilian Football. Marina di Ragusa Calcio was a semi-professional club that played in Italy's Serie D, fourth division. Our simple, yet classic, Rossoblu design was used in the club's special anniversary shirt.
